<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser type heat pen for heat sensitive paper of a small, safe and handy type which can instantly raise a temperature of a pen point to a required temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A pen type case 1 has a pen point 26 for writing on heat sensitive paper at a tip. A laser diode 16 for generating a laser beam 32 and convergent lenses 20, 21 for converging laser beam 32 to heat the pen point 26 by irradiation are provided inside the case 1.
