An article packaging body (1) is formed from a sheet of hard material so as to comprise an article containing plate part (17) having a plurality of containing recesses (21) for containing articles (4), a cover plate part (18) connected with the article containing plate part (17), and a gripping piece forming plate part (19) formed by extending from the article containing plate part (17) and/or the cover plate part (18) via a folding line (25). A plurality of gripping pieces (16) is formed in the gripping piece forming plate part (19) so as to be separable individually and to hold an article (4) at the tip end of each of the gripping pieces (16). The gripping piece forming plate part (19) is folded onto the article containing plate part (17) such that the articles (4) are placed in the respective containing recesses (21), and the cover plate part (18) is openably closed so as to sandwich the gripping piece forming plate part (19) between the cover plate part (18) and the article containing plate part (17). <IMAGE>
