A light string includes a core 2 made of a soft material and having multiple axial holes 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, two connection wires 1a, 1b, multiple LED's 4a, 4b in the axial holes and connected to the connection wires, a scattering body 8 formed on top of the core and the LED's for scattering light beams from the LED's, a cladding 9 enclosing the scattering body 8 and the core 2 and a stopper 15 at one end of the string with a plug 14 at the other. Due to the addition of the scattering body 8 and the cladding 9, the light beams from the LED'S are refracted and scattered to present a soft and continuous lighting effect. Also disclosed is an AC/DC converter and the scattering body being formed integrally with the cladding or taking the form of an air filled passage. |
