The installation (1) is for moving product carriers in a circular transport circuit (2) composed of different transport segments (2a-2d). Over the transport circuit different product carriers (10a-10k) are displaceably arranged, which successively undergo a circular displacement over the transport circuit. In the transport segments are displacement devices (3). In one version, the products involved are electronic print plates, on which different electronic components have to be placed. In another adaptation, the products can be semiconductor substrates, on which during different process stages various thin semiconductor layers are applied. This can be relevant to the manufacture of solar cells.
