The equipment (1) is for movement of different product carriers (10a-10k) in a circular transport circuit (2) using movement devices (3) based on magnetic effect composed of interacting magnetic units and controllable spool units. Sensor units are incorporated for detection of the movement of at least one product carrier, thereby generating a detection signal running with the displacement. With the aid of this signal, the movement devices are controlled to ensure the accurate positioning of the product carriers in the transport circuit. The transport circuit is composed of different segments (2a-2d) in which the movement devices (3) are accommodated. The products on the carriers during movement can undergo various processing operations. The products transported can be electronic print plates, on which various electronic components have to be placed. In another arrangement, the products can be semiconductor substrates, on which during various processing stages different semiconductor layers are imposed. This could well be connected with the manufacture of solar cells.
