The device has a moving unit with a support device of a movable contact (2), of a circuit breaker, connected to a hand lever. The unit has different profile based on the speed of manual opening of fixed (1) and movable contacts of the breaker or opening due to electric fault e.g. short circuit. The unit activates a signaling unit to signal the tripping state of the circuit breaker, when the opening of the contacts is due to the fault. An independent claim is also included for an electrical protection apparatus having a signaling device.
