FIELD: chemico-thermal treatment of metals. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes placing the article to be treated in reservoir filled with current-conducting medium, connecting the reservoir and article to power supply source, heating the current-conducting medium and article to working temperature, keeping them at this temperature and cooling. Heating the current-conducting medium and article is performed in heating unit; power supply source is switched-on when reservoir and article are kept at working temperature; potassium ferricyanide or potassium ferrocyanide is added to current-conducting medium in the amount of up to 20% of mass of current-conducting medium. ^ EFFECT: enhanced hardness and wear resistance of articles. ^ 1 dwg, 1 ex |
