FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves building-up situations of narrator-listener type created by skilled story-teller. The story-teller retells contents of a writing belonging to the best high style realistic works of literature of classic and contemporary belle-letters manifesting life-asserting humanistic principles of decisive importance for adjusting mental condition of a patient. The situations of narrator-listener type are reproduced twice. First, the professional story-teller verbally fulfils mental images code conversion sequentially reconstructed in memory by describing them in words with emotional and sensual manifestations corresponding to images under reproduction and to the contents of the work of literature and expressing own relation both to the patient and normopsychologic patterns of heroes and other relation norms described in the work of literature under retelling. A patient retells the things he has heard in reproductive way by giving verbal description of the own mental images corresponding to apprehended contents of retold story. ^ EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. ^ 2 cl
