An optical sheet (1) which comprises a light transmitting thermoplastic resin substrate (2) having rigidity at a temperature of its glass transition temperature or lower and a first optical element portion (3) formed on one surface of the thermoplastic resin substrate (2), wherein the first optical element portion (3) has been supplied to a metal mold roll (14) for a radiation-curable resin together with a thermoplastic resin substrate (2) having a surface temperature of its glass transition temperature or lower and an inner temperature of the glass temperature or higher and thus being elastic; and a method for producing the optical sheet. A film (6) which is less prone to release from a thermoplastic resin or a radiation-curable resin is preferably provided on the surface having the first optical element portion (3) of the thermoplastic resin substrate (2), and a second optical element portion (4) is preferably formed on the surface of the thermoplastic resin substrate (2) on the side opposite to the surface having the first optical element portion (3). The above optical sheet has rigidity and also can be produced with good productivity at a low cost.
