The process involves determining zones in which glue joints (4) are to be placed, length, width and thickness of glue joints, so that mechanical deformation of an optical mirror is subjected to a specific constraint close to a deformation or far to a spherical deformation, after the mirror is fixed on a support frame (3). The mirror is mounted on the support frame by applying a glue joint on each determined zone. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising of an optical mirror on a support frame.
