PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a removed recording liquid is left adhered to the leading end of a wiper cleaner if the recording liquid of high viscosity is used in the case of removing the recording liquid adhered to a wiper blade by the wiper cleaner, and that the wiper blade cannot be cleaned at a next process. SOLUTION: The wiper blade 93 is moved down in a state that the wiper blade 93 is pressed against the wiper cleaner 95 formed at a blank discharge receptacle 94, whereby the recording liquid adhered to the wiper blade 93 is shifted to the wiper cleaner 95 and removed. Moreover, scraping members 204A and 204B which oscillate along the surface of the wiper cleaner 95 are set. The recording liquid adhered to the surface of the wiper cleaner 95 is gathered, so that the recording liquid is facilitated to flow.
