PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed tensile tester being an evaluation apparatus capable of quantitatively comparing physical properties not evaluated heretofore by an existing evaluation device in correlation with actual use and, more precisely, capable of quantitatively evaluating the dynamic characteristics of a test piece when various high speed strains are applied to the test piece by pulling the test piece at a high speed to stretch, tear, peel, rub (also containing abrasion), thrust and punch the same. SOLUTION: One end of the film test piece is attached to a load measuring instrument and the other end thereof is attached to a linear traveling stator. The linear traveling stator is allowed to travel linearly at a predetermined speed along a linear traveling secondary guide plate and the test piece is pulled at a high speed to continuously measure the elongation and load of the test piece.
