PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous current-carrying heating and burning furnace capable of continuously burning a conductive material such as graphite at a high temperature of more than 2000°C in an inert atmosphere, saving energy by reducing heat radiation from a high-temperature heating space, uniformizing a distribution of temperature in the high-temperature heating space, stably carrying in/out a treated object to the high-temperature heating space, and elongating the service life of a device and achieving the stable operation by reducing members exposed to high temperature. SOLUTION: This continuous current-carrying heating and burning furnace comprises a sealable treatment chamber 14, a high-temperature heating chamber 18 mounted in the treatment chamber and capable of being opened and closed, a charging deaerating chamber 12 mounted continuously from an inlet of the treatment chamber and capable of being replaced with an atmosphere same as that of the treatment chamber, and an extraction deaerating chamber 16 mounted continuously from an outlet of the treatment chamber and capable of being replaced with an atmosphere same as that of the treatment chamber, and further comprises a current-carrying heating device 20 for carrying the current to a treated object and heating the same in the high-temperature heating chamber, and a horizontal conveying device 30 for conveying the treated object among the charging deaerating chamber, the high-temperature heating chamber, the treatment chamber and the extraction deaerating chamber.
