PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a room space below an extended roof constructed by extending a building. SOLUTION: In this extension construction method for extending the building 1 having an existing roof 2 having predetermined gradient in the direction of eaves of the existing roof 2, one end side of the extended roof 3 having gentler gradient than gradient of the existing roof 1 is connected with a cut section where an eaves part of the existing roof 2 of the building 1 is cut, and a part below the other end side is supported by a newly constructed structural member 5 to enable continuous flow of water from an existing roof face to an extended roof face and form a new room space 6 below the extended roof 3 in order to extend the building 1.
