PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound capacitor which can be reduced in size and in weight. SOLUTION: A case 10 has a plurality of one end closed tubular element storing parts 11, 12 for storing each of capacitor elements 1, 2 and a base part 13 connected to a plurality of element-storing parts 11, 12. The base part 13 is provided with a recessed part 23, wherein filling resin can flow in around an opening part of the element-storing parts 11, 12. In the capacitor element 1 for starting a motor, a lead connected to an edge face electrode 4 arranged in a closed side of the element storing part 11 is led out of an opening part through a wound core. A fuse 8 is provided to the inner part of the wound core. In a capacitor element 2 for operating a motor, a lead, connected to an edge face electrode 5 arranged in a closed side of the element-storing part 12, is led out of an opening part through the wound core.
