PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intrarow spacing adjusting apparatus, with which the change of increase or decrease in intrarow spacing occurring according to the gradient of a field during transplanting operation is connected and fixed intrarow spacing is always kept. SOLUTION: The intrarow spacing adjusting apparatus is equipped with a driving shaft 1 and a driven shaft 9 of gear trains for controlling the connection of a clutch 5 for intermittently connecting power to a planting mechanism part A, incorporated with a plurality of sets of gears 7A-7E and gears 8A-8E having mutually different transmission ratios. The driving shaft 1 is integrally equipped with the gears 7A-7E. A key groove 19 is formed in the driven shaft 9 and key grooves 18 are formed in the gears 8A-8E. Rings 20 are nipped between the gears 8A-8E, respectively. A sliding key 22 having a projection 22a at the tip is inserted into the key groove 19 by a plate spring 21 while pressing the sliding key upward and is engaged with any one of the key grooves 18 of the gears 8A-8E in an alternative way. The sliding key 22 is moved by a change lever 25, engagement positions between the gears 7A-7E and the gears 8A-8E are moved and the action interval of clutch 5 is increased or decreased to adjust intrarow spacing.
