PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet type image forming apparatus capable of adding a traceable pattern for preventing the forgery without deteriorating the productivity in the printing. SOLUTION: A traceable pattern generating section 24 for generating a traceable pattern to be added and a traceable pattern adding section 26 for adding the traceable pattern to image data are provided at a front stage of a scan data generating section 27 of a carriage.
