The invention relates to a cleaning device for a blocked trash screen (14) through which waste water (2) flows in a waste water installation, and which is used to extract contaminants carried by the waste water (2). The inventive cleaning device comprises a cleaning carriage which is associated with the trash screen (14) and can be displaced in relation thereto (14) in a plane essentially parallel thereto (14). Said cleaning carriage comprises a cleaning unit (22) provided with a cleaning section (26) for removing the contaminants adhering to the trash screen (14). The cleaning unit is provided with means for generating a superpressure inclined at an angle of less than 45 DEG in relation to the trash screen plane, and oriented essential towards the trash screen plane, on the trash screen surface (20). In this way, a cleaning force directed from the cleaning section (26) towards the trash screen (14) can be generated in such a way that contaminants (18) adhering to the trash screen surface (20) can be solvated by a cleaning medium flow (24) circulating through the cleaning section (26) and emerging through an opening (32), removed from the trash screen surface (20), and swept away by the cleaning medium. |
