The picking attachment has underneath the picking gaps (3) cutting devices (6) with rotary driven intake tools (2) which have a common drive so that the blades of the cutters adjoin the drive shaft of the cutter through the interposition of a slip clutch. The lower end of the drive shaft of the cutter is adjoined by a rotationally secured pressure disc which bears against the blade holder through a brake plate.
