<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antireflection film whose reflectance is low, which has few luminescent point defects and also which is manufactured at low cost with good productivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the antireflection film having a light diffusing layer and a low refractive index layer on a transparent supporting body, the light diffusing layer is constituted by dispersing light transmissive particles in a matrix composed of light transmissive resin, and the difference of a refractive index between the matrix and the light transmissive particles is 0.02 to 0.2, the refractive index of the low refractive index layer is 1.20 to 1.55, and the number of the luminescent point defects of ≥50μm is ≤20/m<SP>2</SP>. Desirably, an antistatic layer is provided, and the light diffusing layer and the low refractive index layer are formed under air atmosphere whose cleanliness is equal to or above a class 10 based on regulation on air cleanness in Federal Regulation 209E. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
