EQUIPMENT FOR UTILIZING PLANT-DERIVED BIOMASS RESOURCES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment for utilizing plant-derived biomass resources with high energy utilization efficiency by effectively using tar produced by carbonizing/separating the plant-derived biomass resources in a carbonization apparatus. SOLUTION: The equipment is provided with a carbonization furnace 3 for thermally decomposing wood chips 1 to produce plant-derived biomass gas from which moisture and tar are separated; a tar tank 9 for storing the tar; and a steam generator 14 for generating steam using the plant-derived biomass gas from which moisture and tar have been separated and the tar supplied from the tar tank 9 as a fuel so as to heat the tar tank 9 by the steam generated in the steam generator 14.
