PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor with good efficiency and high reliability for reducing losses due to abrasion or slide capable of restraining an upsetting phenomenon at a low back pressure setting even when the upsetting phenomenon occurs under a unstable back pressure condition at a low compression ratio such as at the time of low speed starting. SOLUTION: A step part 18 is installed at an outer periphery of a swing scroll 12, and a support part 19 is installed at an inner periphery of a frame 15 in a manner to support the step part 18. Even when an upsetting phenomenon occurs, it is separated only by a spacing of the step part and the support part at the outer periphery of the swing scroll, so as to restrain the upsetting phenomenon even at a lower back pressure.
