PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solvent applying method and a solvent applying apparatus capable of uniformly applying a solvent such as moth-proofing agent and anti-microbial agent onto a sheet as the base. SOLUTION: The solvent applying apparatus 100 is constituted so that, while a base sheet 107 wound around a first winding machine 101 is wound by a second winding machine 102, cations are attached to a base sheet 107 with a cation generator 103, thereby, the base sheet 107 is positively charged and the moth-proofing agent 109 which is atomized in an applying apparatus main body 104 by an electrostatic force of the base sheet 107 is applied.
