PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weeding device which allows weeding without traveling into a river bed, is small and easily operated so as to allow weeding even from the above part of a narrow bank, has a simple structure, and allows weeding while minimizing occurrence of murky water with little drilling of earth and sand of the river bed by drawing out water plants from thier roots. SOLUTION: The weeding device 1 comprises a slider 3 suspended on a traction body 2, a body frame 4 connected with the slider 3 liftably in a predetermined stroke range, a pair of grabs 5 of which base ends 51 are supported on both sides of the lower part of the body frame 4, a pair of locking means 6 arranged near the center inside the body frame 4, an interlocking means 7 for interlocking the pair of grabs 5 with the slider 3, and an attaching/detaching means 8 connected to the slider 3 vertically slidably.
