发明名称 METHOD FOR PUTTING SPARE SATELLITE INTO ORBIT IN SATELLITE SYSTEM HAVING A PLURALITY OF ORBITAL PLANES
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for arranging and putting a spare satellite into an orbit in a satellite system having a plurality of orbital planes for quickly restoring the system, when a satellite in the system fails, by replacing the failing satellite with the spare satellite arranged on a stand-by orbit for the spare satellite, which method can furthermore reduce the fuel consumption and is suitable for an elliptical orbit. SOLUTION: When the satellite arranged on one operational orbit in the satellite system is replaced with one spare satellite, the spare satellite arranged on the spare satellite orbit having the apogee altitude smaller than the perigee altitude of the operational orbit is replaced with the satellite arranged on the operational orbit so as to show the functions of the satellite arranged on the operational orbit. The spare satellite is rearranged on a high altitude transition orbit, which inscribes the operational orbit and circumscribes the spare satellite orbit, by means of an accelerating apparatus mounted on board the spare satellite, in the spare satellite orbital plane. Then, the spare satellite is accelerated by means of the accelerating apparatus mounted on board the spare satellite to be put into the operational orbit at the apogee of the high altitude transition orbit, the apogee being a contact point of the high altitude transition orbit with the operational orbit.
