PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed polystyrene resin, which can show a stable antistatic function for a long time after production without being influenced by humidity and can sufficiently show light weight property and mechanical properties, which are owned by a foamed polystyrene resin. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin, a polymeric antistatic agent of 4-50 wt.pts. relative to the thermoplastic resin of 100 wt.pts. and a volatile plasticizer of 0-15 wt.pts. relative to a mixture of 100 wt.pts. of the thermoplastic resin and the antistatic agent are kneaded by an extruder, whereby a melted resin for foaming a thermoplastic resin layer is obtained, and a polystyrene resin and a foaming agent are kneaded by an extruder to give a melted resin for forming a foamed polystyrene resin layer, and those melted resins are co-extruded to give a multilayer foamed polystyrene resin 1 wherein a thermoplastic resin layer 3 of 0.1-50 g/m<SP>2</SP>containing a polymeric antistatic agent and having surface intrinsic resistance of 1x10<SP>13</SP>Ωor less after washing with an aqueous methanol solution is formed at least on one surface of a foamed polystyrene resin layer 2 having an apparent density of 0.03-0.3 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a thickness of 0.5-30 mm.
