PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot rest capable of preventing uncomfortableness from occurring on the feet of an occupant put on the foot rest even if the deformed amounts of a toe board by collision are not different from each other. SOLUTION: An angle holding means 10 is installed on the foot rest 3 fitted to the toe board 2 on the forward lower part of a seat and used for placing the feet of the occupant, and the angleθof a placing surface 3a for the feet f is roughly held at a specified angle irrespective of the magnitude of the deformed amount of the toe board 2 in frontal collision.
