PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming the hollow part of a molded product using a core so as not to damage the molded product even if the molded product has a shape weak from an aspect of strength such as fine pores or a thin-walled part, and the core used therein. SOLUTION: After a molding material and cores 16, 23 and 26 are charged in a main mold in a state that the cores 16, 23 and 26 are present in the molding material and molded, the cores 16, 23 and 26 are removed to form the hollow parts 12, 13 and 14 of the molded product at regions where the cores 16, 23 and 26 are present in the molding material. Herein, the cores 16, 23 and 26 are formed of a synthetic resin 27 and cores 16, 23 and 26 mixed with a reinforcing material 28 for holding the shapes of the cores 16, 23 and 26 are used as the cores 16, 23 and 26.
