PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of bridges even for a waste material with a small bulk density and a large compression ratio. SOLUTION: A screw 7 consisting of a screw shaft 8 and a screw blade 9 is housed in a rotatable and drivable manner in a casing 1 provided with an inlet 2 on the upper side at its one end, which is connected to a chute 4, and an exhaust port 5 at the other end. Plate members 22a, 22b protruded to the outer peripheral side relative to the screw blade 9 are provided integrally at one end of the screw 7 below the inlet 2. Each of the plate members 22a, 22b is disposed slightly slantingly along the spiral of the screw blade 9 relative to the shaft center direction of the screw 7. Even when a waste material 3 with a small bulk density and a large compression ratio is supplied from the chute 4, the waste material 3 positioned in the inlet 2 part of the casing 1 is scratched and dropped by each of the plate members 22a, 22b that rotate in association with the rotation of the screw 7.
