<p>A device for changing direction of the movement of a piston of an engine comprises gears, a rack and a stopping arm. According to the present invention, gears and a rack are sued instead of a crankshaft and a connecting rod to change between the liner movement of the piston and the rotation movement of the output shaft with the arm of the force of the change unchanged, so that the power of the engine can be remarkably raised and the fuel can be saved. The engine according to the present invention is designed advantagely with the structure being simplified. A stopping wheel cooperates with an upper dead point stopping channel when the piston arrives at the upper dead point. The piston stays at the upper dead point for a while, so that fuel can be thoroughly combusted. When the piston arrive at the lower dead point, it stays there for a while due to the cooperation between a lower dead point stopping wheel and a lower dead point stopping channel.</p> |
