<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for disposing of a data recording medium which can efficiently dispose of a data recording medium while ensuring security, and can recycle. <P>SOLUTION: The method for disposing of a data recording medium is provided with; a process in which at least either optical data recording media 2a, 2b or magnetic recording media 2c-2f, in which information to be disposed of is recorded, are collected in a reclamation box 95, and the reclamation box 95 is sealed with a sealing means 97; a process in which the reclamation box 95 thus sealed is transferred to a processing site 8; and a process in which the data recording media are subjected to an optical data destructing device and a magnetic data erasing device to destroy and erase the recorded data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
