<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of preventing occurrence of contact with a bar or a collision accident when a vehicle passes a toll gate at a high speed and surely preventing a vehicle operating abnormal vehicle-to-road communication from passing without any processing. <P>SOLUTION: In receipt of a signal transmitted from an on-street apparatus (step A1, YES), an onboard apparatus transmits a gate advance signal to a travel controlling ECU (step A3), and the travel controlling ECU outputs a brake instruction to a brake mechanism (step B6) when a vehicle speed is above a predetermined value at the time when the gate advance signal is received (steps B1-B3, YES). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
