<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical pointing device of a computer for obtaining proper illuminance in both an operating status and a power saving status. <P>SOLUTION: An illuminance controller is used for an optical pointing device, and configured to emit rays of light with proper illuminance cooperatively with an optical sensor module and a light emitting device. The illuminance controller is provided with a micro-controller which generates auxiliary currents when the optical pointing device is put in a power saving status and a control current amplifier which communicates with the micro-controller, the optical sensor module and the light emitting device in order to supply an amplified current to the light emitting device to emit the light. When the optical pointing device is put in the power saving status, a control current amplifier amplifies synthetic currents of the light emitting currents generated by the optical sensor module and auxiliary currents generated by the micro-controller to obtain amplified currents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
