LENS BARREL AND CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a smooth motion without increasing the cost caused by change in the materials and addition of other materials for a lens barrel having a small radius or a large amount of extension requiring to form a cam groove that approaches to an optical axis in a parallel manner and simply exceeds an angular limit for the lens barrel which incorporates a plurality of lenses and is freely retracted and extended and a camera having the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The lens barrel is provided with a first holding member which holds a first lens group, a second holding member which holds a second lens group and a cam groove 162 which relatively rotates at least one of the first holding member or the second holding member with respect to the other around the optical axis.
