PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide for a transmission device, actualizing smooth slide-contact travel of a transmission chain over a long period, while reducing thermal deterioration by suppressing heat storage in a sliding rail portion with which the transmission chain has slide contact. SOLUTION: In the guide for the transmission device, the sliding rail portion 110 oriented to the travelling direction of the transmission chain and a rail supporting portion 120 for upwardly supporting the sliding rail portion 110 along the longitudinal direction of the guide are formed by using a sandwich molding method. The rail supporting portion 120 has a core layer 120a formed of a first polymeric resin material containing glass fibers and a skin layer 120b integrally formed of a second wear resistant polymeric resin material forming the sliding rail portion 110.
