The invention relates to a method for broadcasting extensive multicast from a multicast exchange having a first address (LMDoi) of a site of origin (S0). A query of extensive multicast broadcasting (EMR(LMD0i)) containing the first address and an identification code (N0jk) of a mobile terminal is transmitted (A) from the mobile terminal (N0jk) toward said site (S0) . A message offering access (GMO (GMD0g)) containing a second global multicast broadcasting address, of which the source is situated in the site of origin, is transmitted (B) from the site (S0) toward the mobile terminal. A message accepting access (AAO (GMD0g)) is transmitted (C) from the mobile terminal toward the site (S0) upon the broadcasting to the second address. Information to be diffused is transferred (D) from the first to the second address, and global multicast is transmitted (E) by broadcasting to the second address. The mobile terminal receives, at the distinct site (Sk), the information diffused under the first address diffused under the second address. The invention is used for managing the transmission of messages and information on an IP network.
