An anti-fogging treating fluid which is produced by providing an organosilane containing at least one sulfur atom at least one non-coupling position or a hydrolyzate thereof being controlled in its condensation degree and being a monomer or a condensate having a condensation degree of two or more and diluting the organosilane or a hydrolyzate thereof with a hydrophilic organic solvent; the anti-fogging treating fluid, wherein a dimer or a higher degree condensate of an organosilane containing at least one sulfur atom at least one non-coupling position or a hydrolyzate thereof accounts for 1 wt % or more and less than 70 wt % of the total organosilane; a method for producing the anti-fogging treating fluid which comprises controlling the circumstance for holding the treating fluid or/and using a catalyst. The anti-fogging treating fluid and the method allows the production of an anti-fogging article which is excellent in anti-forging performance capability and anti-forging durability, and also exhibits high film strength.
