<p>A compound represented by the formula (I): (I) (wherein Ar represents difluorophenyl). It is useful as an intermediate in a process for producing an epoxytriazole compound which is represented by the formula (VII): (VII) (wherein Ar has the same meaning as defined above) and is an intermediate for a fungicide. Also provided is a process for producing the compound represented by the formula (VII) which comprises the steps of epoxidizing the compound represented by the formula (I), eliminating the protective group, reacting with a compound represented by RSO2X, and reacting with 1,2,4-triazole or comprises the steps of epoxidizing the compound represented by the formula (I), reacting with 1,2,4-triazole, eliminating the protective group, reacting with a compound represented by RSO2X, and treating with a base.</p> |
