<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face image recognition apparatus and a face image recognition program that realize highly accurate face image recognition by using statistically acquired deformation information about face images. <P>SOLUTION: The face image recognition apparatus, which identifies the person of a face image included in an input image by using registered face images registered in advance and a plurality of face images of different expressions, has a face image registration part for registering feature point location information about the registered face images and person IDs as face templates in association with the registered face images, a face deformation information extraction part for extracting face deformation information according to feature point location information about the plurality of face images of different expressions, and a face image recognition part for identifying the person in the face image included in the image according to the face templates acquired from the image registration part and the face deformation information acquired from the face deformation information extraction part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
