PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for bit scrambling for packet transmission/reception in a wireless communication system.

SOLUTION: A bit scrambling method and apparatus for packet transmission/reception in a wireless communication system are provided. A transmitter performs bit scrambling before error-correcting code attachment and a receiver performs bit descrambling after checking the propriety of an error. This enables termination of iterative decoding at a decoder of the channel in a receiving side according to the CRC check, thereby reducing power consumption and increasing throughput at a receiving side.
