PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overlapping transmission of image data. SOLUTION: In a printer system where an image file is transmitted from a digital still camera 1 to a data storage 40 thence transmitted to a printer 50 and printed, a transmission record indicating transmission of the image file to the data storage 40 and the printer 50 is formed. When the image file is transmitted to the data storage 40 or the printer 50, the transmission record is referred. A not-yet-transmitted image file is transmitted to the data storage 40 or the printer 50.
