<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tile-like surface emitting laser of a tile shape surface emitting laser which can detect the quantity of light of the surface emitting laser, and in which its size can be easily reduced; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same, a device and an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The tile-like surface emitting laser 1a includes a semiconductor element formed in the tile shape.
