<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal plate in which formation of carbon nano-fibers can be controlled easily, homogenization is possible, and preparation of an inexpensive and a high performance electron emitting element is possible, and provide a nano-carbon emitter as the electron emitting element in which carbon nano-fibers are formed on the metal plate and served as a needle-like emitter electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In the metal plate consisting of a thin plate of Fe-Ni based alloy in which one kind or more of Ni, Cr, and Si are contained or a silicon steel, numerous minute regions in which the metal plate face is exposed on this metal plate surface are formed, and this is the metal plate in which the carbon nano-fibers are easily formed and in which a coating film hard to form the carbon nano-fibers on the metal plate surface other than the minute regions is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
