PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the outflow of an ink remaining after the end of pumping in a piston type suction pump mechanism of an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: An absorber having a liquid absorbing property is stored in the pump chamber of a piston type pump. Furthermore, the absorber has a shape almost analogous to a cavity formed by a piston and a pump housing when the capacity of the pump chamber is minimized.
