PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication device through which electronic mail can quickly be sent with a simple procedure. SOLUTION: The data communication device is equipped with an electronic mail transmission key allowing a user to send an electronic mail document whose document number is represented as, for example, '01' on condition that an electronic mail address is registered in a record of an abbreviated code in a table storage part (telephone directory table TBL) when the abbreviated code, such as '00', specifying the electronic mail address is input from the ten-key 111 of an operation part 11.
