PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing system capable of controlling a photographing device according to a new control command made by combining a plurality of remote control signals applied thereto when a plurality of manipulation buttons are simultaneously selected and the plurality of remote control signals corresponding to the buttons are applied to the photographing device in the photographing system which utilizes a remote controller comprising the plurality of manipulation buttons to input the control command to the photographing device, and to provide a control method thereof. SOLUTION: The photographing system includes: a photographing part for outputting an image signal; an input part provided with first and second manipulation buttons for inputting first and second control commands, respectively, by selecting at least one of the first and second manipulation buttons; and a control part for controlling the photographing part in accordance with any one of the first and second control commands if the corresponding one of the first and second manipulation buttons is selected, and controlling the photographing part in accordance with a third control command if both the first and second manipulation buttons are selected.
