PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc device which facilitates displaying information for a user by intuitively operating on a picture object reproduced from a disc, etc. to display object-related information on a screen. SOLUTION: A reproducing device comprises a reader part 22 for reading picture information stored on a disc D; a reproducer part 23 for reproducing the picture information read by the reader; a designator part 27-2 for designating one of objects in the reproduced picture information; and display parts 30, 32 for displaying about the object, on the basis of extended information relevant to the object designated by the designator.
