摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the distance between a holographic recording medium and an address detector, by reducing the pitch of a light beam spot on the light-receiving face of the address detector, when retrieving information recorded on the holographic recording medium. SOLUTION: The holographic recording and reproducing device 10 has the holographic recording medium 20 irradiated by setting a reference light beam shape as an elliptical shape and allowing object light to remain a circular shape by a beam-shaping optical system 30 to the holographic recording medium 20, and forms interference fringes in only the elliptical inside thereof. Even if the distance from the holographic recording medium 20 of the address detector 28 is small, crosstalks among array two-dimensional photodetectors 28A, 28B, 28C, ... constituting the address detector 28 are prevented.
