PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transducer protection instrument and a manufacturing method thereof in which a sound insulator can be easily mounted to a body of a sonar dome and having high sound insulating properties and durability without causing peeling of the sound insulator in a short time. SOLUTION: The sound insulator 13 is integrally formed on a gauge control rubber 17 of a part Z other than the measuring range X of a transducer 12. In a certain thickness of the sound insulator 13 at the part Z other than the measuring range X of a transducer 12, an organic foaming agent with a compounding ratio of 2 to 8 parts by weight into 100 parts by weight of a chloroprene rubber, which is the same material used in the gauge control rubber 17, is included, and bubbles are dispersed therein to get a volumetric porosity in the chloroprene rubber of 20 to 30% when vulcanizing to form the gauge control rubber 17.
