PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for automatically supplying a paddy field with water, capable of solving such a problem that control of water by going to the paddy field every morning and evening is a considerable burden on a farmer, especially a part-time farmer, an aged farmer, and a farmer living in a remote place, despite a fact that it is well known that the control of the water has a profound influence on a harvest of the paddy field in cultivation of a paddy-rice plant. SOLUTION: This apparatus is structured so that a water level detector 1 is inserted into a paddy field, and a water supply control part 7 is located over a water intake gate 12 of an irrigation canal 19. The apparatus has a small size, is given at a low cost, is easily installed/removed, and uses dry cells as an electric source, so that its maintenance is easily conducted. The water level detector 1 detects water levels 17, 18 and a motor 9 of the water supply control part 7 opens and closes a water supply gate 11 in the apparatus, and therefore, it is realized that the water level 18 is kept at constant every morning.
